How do you trigger Rogiers death? ›

Behind the boss, you will find a disturbing face jutting out of the earth. Next to this, you will see a Bloodstain. Activate it, and you will see Rogier dying. Return to Rogier and talk to him about his bloodstain.

Not only does it reward you with a powerful weapon early, Rogier's quest will uncover key plot points in the lore and ties directly into the narrative of a few other NPCs. The main catch is that you need to follow certain steps early or Rogier will die and cut his quest short.

If you want to learn the lore behind the Elden Ring's shattering, don't speak with Ranni the witch before talking to Rogier again, or he'll die before the quest finishes. There is no benefit we've yet found to keeping Rogier alive aside from the lore, though.

Once you've defeated Godrick the Grafted Rogier will move to the Roundtable Hold. When you speak to him, you'll receive Rogier's Rapier+8.

The biggest hint as to its rightful owner is in the description of the dagger. It's described to be gold and silver intertwined, which should remind the player of D's armor. Speak to D and give him the dagger. After giving him the dagger, a new room will open upon the next visit to Roundtable Hold.

This is one of the best weapons in Elden Ring, so it's worth completing Ranni's quest during your playthrough, regardless of the ending you want to choose. Is there a way to not fight Blaidd? Head back to Ranni's Rise after completing Ranni's questline (or just outside it) to see Blaidd again - only this time, he's aggressive and out to kill you. There's no way to pacify him -fight him, put him out of his misery and end his questline for good.

To get Melina's Blade of Calling in Elden Ring, Tarnished must search for a hidden room within the unnamed lift leading to the Forbidden Lands. The Blade of Calling is the Dagger in Elden Ring that Melina wields if Tarnished summon her for the boss fight against Morgott the Omen King.

Once you've defeated the Elden Beast, walk over and touch Fractured Marika, choosing the option to mend the ring. The Tarnished will become Elden Lord and sit upon the throne.
